The control of beverages and alcohol is a major challenge for X-ray technology, particularly when it comes to products poured into glass bottles. Regardless of the type of liquid – whether opaque juices, carbonated or non-carbonated soft drinks, or alcohol – all common contaminants (including glass shards) will stick to the bottom of the bottle.

The AICON X-Ray SIDE SCAN multi-beam X-ray machines have been specifically developed to meet these challenges. In addition to the elimination of containers with contaminants, these systems ensure precise measurement of the filling level. Alternatively, all liquid products can be checked for contamination with AICON X-ray PIPE XR series detectors before filling the package.
